President Obama signs tax credit extension/expansion
President Obama has approved the extension and expansion of the federal homebuyer tax credit. The measure is part of H.R. 3548, the Unemployment Compensation Extension Act.

Biggert pushes to extend tax credit
U.S. Representative Judy Biggert (R-IL-13th) has introduced legislation that would extend the existing first-time homebuyer tax credit for six months as well as a second bill that would extend the tax credit for a full year, expand it to include those who aren't first-time buyers and increase the maximum amount of the credit to $15,000.
